How to Complete Your Youth Protection Training (YPT)

All adult volunteers and participating parents are REQUIRED to complete the BSA Scouts YPT training. The training is done completely online and may be done in multiple sessions that each take up to 25 minutes to complete.

The program is designed to educate adults on how to protect the youth in our many programs from abuse, bullying, and other harmful events.

This program has empowered the Scouting community across the country with the abilities to prevent, identify, and manage situations involving the victimization of children.

Log in to my.scouting.org and click on the English or Spanish YPT logos you see above. Then just simply ENROLL in the course.

New parents and leaders should register first.

The YPT consists of three learning modules and a quiz. You are required to score a minimum of 75% to be certified. Certification is valid for two calendar years.
