TITLED POSITIONS

  • Assistant Den Leaders (Now - 5/30/2021): Assigned to one Den Leader with tasks in preparation for each meeting. Meetings take place once a week. Tasks may include making phone calls to schedule visits to sites, gathering supplies, printing or making copies of activity sheets, and occasionally leading Scouts through activities at Den Meetings. The online training for Den Leaders and Committee Members can be completed on the Scouts BSA training website.  Estimated weekly time commitment: 1-3 hours.

  • Den Leaders (6/1/2021 - 5/31/2022): The Den Leader works "where the rubber meets the road." Scouting wouldn't be what it is without the generous volunteers who lead our Scouts through each of their requirements year after year. It isn't easy, but it's so rewarding and you don't have to have any special skills to do it. The desire to guide youth is all it takes. Work together with your fellow Den parents and you'll be a part of continuing the Scouting legacy. The online training for Den Leaders and Committee Members can be completed on the Scouts BSA training website. Estimated weekly time commitment: 2-4 hours.

  • Treasurer (ongoing): Assist current Treasurer with the logging and attribution of fundraising revenues. Will stand-in for the Treasurer (if/when needed) at monthly Committee Meetings. The online training for Committee Members can be completed on the Scouts BSA training website.  Estimated monthly time commitment: 5-8 hours.

  • Secretary Attends ONE meeting per month (Pack Committee Meeting). This person will be responsible for taking minutes at each meeting. They will also serve as our Pack Historian whose responsibilities are to keep a log of Pack events, winners of competitions (like Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, etc.), unit awards earned, and other notable occurrences. This person will also facilitate the collection of pictures from each event from families who attend (Google Photos most likely). The online training for Committee Members can be completed on the Scouts BSA training website.  Estimated weekly time commitment: 1-2 hours.

  • Pack STEM Leader(s) (ongoing): This person will be trained and certified as a STEM Leader through our District program. They are responsible for delegating tasks in preparation for one or two Pack and District STEM events each year. Each event may consist of up to six sets of age-appropriate activities relating to various scientific disciplines. This Leader will need to attend several Pack Committee Meetings between September and May (but not all). The online training portion of this certification can be completed on the Scouts BSA training website.   Estimated annual time commitment: < 40 hours.
